This is a full day course and will go through the full making of the In The Hoop Memory Bear.
The Memory Bear is a non jointed teddy, and as it has an embroidered face, it will be a perfect design to learn and get you on your way to making lots of memory bears for loved ones.
The course will be held at: Birstall Community Centre, Market Street, Birstall, Batley, West Yorkshire. WF17 9EN
Date: 22nd July, 2023
Time: 10am - 4pm ish... we can over run if you need more time to finish.
I will be at the venue around 9am to set up so please come early so we are ready at 10am to start.
There is an onsite car park. You will need to bring your own embroidery machine and help can be provided to help you in to the venue with it. The venue is ground floor with no steps. Tea, coffee and cakes will be available, however you will need to bring your own lunch. There is a cafe, sandwich shop and also a Tesco conveniece store across the road if needed.
You will need to bring:
Your embroidery machine.
All threads, stabilisers, scissors, pins, tape and other consumables you may use generally.
Toy stuffing.
You will be sent the design files 5 days prior to the course which includes a PDF Instruction Sheet. You can print this off at home and bring it with you to follow if you wish, although I will go through all stages in the same order on the course.
Cuddlesoft Velboa Fabric will be provided in the price of the course also, and you will have a choice of colours to choose from.
I will also cover other information regarding making of teddies, stuffing, sewing up the openings etc and I will be more than happy to help answer any questions you may have.
There is limited space on the course, so early booking is essential.
Full payment is required on booking. Unfortunately we can not refund the course fee if you are unable to attend, unless we can fill your place. Once the pattern files are emailed to you, we will be unable to offer any kind of refund.
The venue is around a 15 minute drive from Leeds City Centre train station, where most main line trains will operate to.
